Soaking rains stifle early drought.

This week's rain has made up an almost two inch deficit, returning our monthly rainfall to above normal. More than three quarters of June's rain has fallen since Monday afternoon.

The start of June was incredibly dry with little rain besides a few drops through the 15th. Sunday, the deficit was at almost two inches then the rains came Monday with over an inch in South Bend.

Wednesday night brought another round of intense rainfall, with some areas seeing more that two or three inches.

The next 10 days look mostly dry. Get the latest forecast here.
