South Bend authorities investigating S Scott Street shooting


SOUTH BEND, Ind.—The South Bend Police Investigative Bureau continues to investigate a shooting that occurred on Sunday, December 2.

Two men were injured in the shooting.

Officers were originally dispatched to the 600 block of W. Calvert for shots fired around 2:30 p.m.

Offers were then sent to the 1700 block of S. Scott Street where a 28-year-old male was found with wounds to the arm and abdomen.

Approximately 10 minutes later, officers were notified of a 34-year-old male who walked into Memorial Hospital with wounds to the arm and shoulder.

The victim was in the area of Calvert and Scott when he was injured.

Both victims are in stable condition following surgery.

South Bend Police Department says that both of these shootings are connected.

Possible suspect descriptions include:

-Black male wearing all black

-Black male with braided hair and a hoodie

-Black male wearing a hoodie

The investigation is ongoing.
