SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Unity Gardens’ first holiday bazaar opened up on Sunday afternoon in South Bend.
South Bend Unity Gardens offered 12 vendors from the South Bend area for holiday shopping.
The bazaar allowed the community to see what local vendors in the city have to offer.
“We’ve been having this idea for a little bit, we just didn’t have a space for it, and Sean, the owner of Zen Café, mentioned and we thought it was just a great place to highlight this local place here and with the season we just really wanted to get more people to come out here to see what we had,” said Hannah Pak, volunteer at South Bend Unity Gardens.
The event organizers say that the bazaar will boost the local economy and help fund non-profits like the Unity Gardens.
