South Bend Chocolate Cafe named business of the year

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Chocolate Cafe has been named 2012 Indiana Main Street Business of the Year.

The Indiana Main Street Program supports downtown revitalization and restoration.

The Chocolate Cafe is a downtown South Bend anchor and was recognized for its partnerships, creativity and generosity.

Employees told ABC57 they were honored.

"I think chocolate always holds it together, I mean it's the glue to everything," Nisa Buller said. "I mean we work for chocolate, it makes everyone a little happier, a day a little better, so we like to think that chocolate makes everything a little sweeter and better I guess" said Nisa Buller.

The South Bend Chocolate Company got its start more than 20 year ago making sweets for the University of Notre Dame.
