South Bend cyclist recovering after being hit by car

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A South Bend bike rider is recovering after he was hit by a car.
The crash happened just before 1:30 a.m. on Miami Street.
Police said a driver was backing out of a parking space and hit the cyclist.
Officers told us the man fell off of his bike and cut his face.
He was taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment and is expected to be okay.
