Starke County face-to-face with severe weather
Merry Christmas Michiana! After overcoming patches of dense fog this morning, temperatures will rise to the mid 40s amidst mostly cloudy skies. We stay dry for all of today with rain showers arriving later tonight, likely after midnight via warm frontal passage. Rain showers may turn to freezing rain at points early Friday morning and cause slick roads for travelers heading in or out of Michiana. Right now, no dangerous driving conditions are expected for Friday but travel may be inconvenient at times. Friday afternoon, the rain clears out and leaves behind generally cloudy but warm weather with temperatures near 50 degrees. Saturday and Sunday will either be near or above 50 degrees, but a secondary low pressure system will turn Saturday's serene weather into rain and snow on Sunday. Light lake effect snow showers develop Sunday overnight and lasts through most of Monday.
Today: Mostly cloudy. High 46.
Tonight: Showers late. Low 32.
Friday: AM rain. High 48.
Saturday: Cloudy. High 48.
