Street sign causes distraction to drivers in Michigan city

WHITE LAKE, Mich. -- A puzzling street sign in Michigan is literally raising eyebrows. 

Some drivers say although this sign is meant to keep school children safe, it's too distracting. Drivers have to take their eyes off the road quite a bit just to read if they fall in that time slot.

Bogie Lake Road is home to three different schools, and officials say the reduced speeds need to take effect in certain time windows.

They say a flashing light or electric sign would be too costly.
