Starke County face-to-face with severe weather
Clear skies this morning become generally cloudier as the day goes on, however, not wet weather is expected until midnight or early tomorrow morning. Temperatures climb to mild values today near 50 degrees for an additional Spring-like day before winter returns. A brief rain/snow mix likely develops in the early morning hours of Wednesday, although by the time most people wake up (6-9 AM) the mix turns to just scattered lake effect snow showers. Light snow is expected for the rest of Wednesday, ending late Thursday morning with an inch or more likely west of US-31. After a break Thursday night, additional system and lake effect snow materialize on Friday and last through most of Saturday. Expect moderate to even high weather impacts Wednesday evening into Thursday evening with icy roads and slick spots during the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commute.
Today: Partly cloudy. High 48.
Tonight: Showers. Low 30.
Wednesday: Snow showers. High 36.
Thursday: AM snow. High 26.
