ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Police Department reports officers responded to a disturbance early Wednesday morning in the 1000 block of Royal Vineyards Drive.
Authorities arrived on scene and witnessed a juvenile male holding a firearm.
Shortly after, police say a second juvenile was seen in possession of a firearm.
Police were then granted entry into the apartment where six juveniles were found, all appearing to be intoxicated and uncooperative.
A search warrant was secured, and officers located a firearm hidden in the oven, an extended magazine concealed inside a box of chips, a firearm “switch” submerged in a toilet bowl, and a fully loaded drum magazine.
Law enforcement notified the Juvenile Justice Center, and three of the six juveniles were taken into custody.
