ST JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The next important step in finding service members a place to live in Michiana is now underway.
Demolition is happening to make room for Mishawaka Troop Town, a village of tiny houses to get homeless veterans off the streets and back onto their feet.
For 18 to 30 months at a time, the village would house 8 veterans at a time, while providing therapy to help them with any trauma, as well as employment and educational assistance.
