Tough times for the Tooth Fairy: Average payouts to kids decline

The Tooth Fairy hasn't been paying so well lately.
According to a Time.com article, the Tooth Fairy payouts to kids averaged only $2.10 last year. That's a dip of 17 percent, from the previous year.
A non-profit dental organization said kids are getting an average of $1 on average, for each tooth left under their pillow.
