Tree & wildflower giveaway in Elkhart this Saturday

ELKHART, Ind. – The Elkhart Environmental Center is giving out free trees and wildflower seed packets this weekend to celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day!

From 10 a.m. to noon on April 24, the public can stop by the Elkhart Environmental Center (1717 E. Lusher Ave.) to pick up a free tree and wildflowers.

Trees will be given out using a drive-through system and registration is encouraged before coming.

This year, the Environmental Center is giving away the following tree species:

• Sugar Maple
• Persimmon
• Paper Birch
• Gray Birch
• White Flowering Dogwood
• Pawpaw
