PORTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Cass County Sherriff's Department says that deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash around 7:45 p.m. April 17 on Bellows Rd south of Sweet Rd in Porter Township.
Deputies say that the vehicle was being driven south on Bellows Rd by a 16-year-old from Edwardsburg when he collided with a log in the roadway, causing him to lose control of his vehicle, hit a tree, and overturn the vehicle. The passenger, a 19-year-old, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle.
The passenger was taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment, and the driver was released from at the scene.
