Unemployed Hoosier vet wins Mega Millions lotto

DECATUR, Ind. -- A recently laid off Hoosier vet had an extra reason to celebrate this Memorial Day weekend.

Tom Fisher, matched four digits in Friday’s Mega Millions drawing as well as the Mega Ball. He's now $10,000 richer.   

Fisher hopes this is just the beginning of a lucky streak.

“I just kept starring at it, kept starring at it, kept starring at it and finally I looked them up and sure enough we hit,” said Fisher. “It's just been a blessing hitting this and takes a little pressure off the cooker for now.”

Fisher plans to use his winnings to pay bills and treat his family to a flat-screen TV.
