LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The Indiana Department of Transportation announced US 35 between S.R. 2 and Maple Avenue will be closed beginning on or after Monday, Mar. 2. 

US 35 will be closed through early May for road reconstruction activities, including pavement replacement, storm sewer, water main, and sanitary sewer work.

This is a continuation of the U.S. 35 pavement replacement and utilities project from Boyd Boulevard to S.R. 2.

Additional ongoing closures on US 35 will take place through late November.

The official detour throughout these closures will follow S.R. 2, S.R. 39, and US 6.
