NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- US Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyoming, gave a lecture at Notre Dame for students, staff and alumni about Saving Democracy by Revering the Constitution.
Cheney is an advocate for cooperation across the political aisle.
"We need to get away from these sort of polarized policy battles. There is a lot that we can agree on. There are people of good faith who we can disagree with but we can say alright let's move together on these issues. We're never going to agree on these, but lets treat each other with respect," Cheney said.
The lecture was held Friday afternoon at Washington Hall.
