A fire in South Bend leaves building ablaze
MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Lily Endowment Inc., an Indianapolis-based private philanthropic foundation, recently awarded $188,537 in grant money to Bethel University.
The funds will be directed towards Bethel's Indiana Youth programs on campus and will be used with the intention of expanding on-campus academic summer camps.
Camps will focus on nursing, STEM, the arts and culture.
Brent LaVigne, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, is excited about the opportunity that the camps will provide for the local community.
"It is our goal to make students feel welcome and comfortable on our campus so that they can see the possibilities that higher education can open for them," said LaVigne.
