The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office announced Derrick Myles was found guilty on June 25, by a jury, of one count of Murder with a Firearm Enhancement.
On Wednesday, Myles was sentenced to 55 years for Murder, along with an additional 12 years for the Firearm Enhancement.
Myles will spend a total of 67 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections.
Court documents reveal the fatal shooting happened on June 14, 2024, in the 500 block of Victoria Street. Officers arrived to find Enoexpettiford, a Riley High School student, lying injured in a backyard.
Enoexpettiford was taken to Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead from at least one gunshot wound to the head.
Myles turned himself in to police in August 2024.
