ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Another life was taken, the first in Indiana, from the Triple EEE Virus.
68-year-old, Roger Levitz, passed after weeks in the hospital surrounded by family and close friends.
His neighbors over on County Road 14 were devastated over the loss of a great neighbor and friend.
Walt Woodlee, who has known Levits for almost 15 years, said he was what everyone would want in a neighbor: kind, trusting, and fun.
They bonded over their mutual affection for the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Woodlee says he trusted Levitz--and that he was the kind of man who would offer to take care of his home when Woodlee was traveling and would always be there for a friendly conversation on his front porch.
