I&M crews working to restore remaining power outages

Indiana Michigan Power says service is expected to be restored to all customers by 11:00 p.m. Friday. 

About 100 customers remained without service in the South Bend/Elkhart area. They are expected to have service restored by 4:00 p.m.

As of 10:00 a.m. Friday, about 1,700 Michigan customers remained without service. The estimated time of restoration for customers in the Benton Harbor area is 3:00 p.m. The remainder, south and east of Benton Harbor, are expected to be restored by 11:00 p.m.

I&M says crews and contractors from other parts of their service territory are joining the Michigan crews to restore all customers who lost service due to the heavy winds. They have restored service to more than two-thirds of customers who lost power as a result of heavy wind gusts on Thursday.
