Indiana man arrested following pursuit in Sturgis

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. – An Indiana man was arrested after allegedly leading a police pursuit in Sturgis Tuesday, the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Deputies tried to stop the suspect vehicle on Stubey Road when the driver left the scene, according to reports.

The suspect was located near the Sturgis Airport and the chase continued into Sturgis Township, where the vehicle crashed near Fawn River and Nottawa Roads, reports said.

The 29-year-old Indiana man was taken into custody without incident.

He is being held at the St. Joseph County Jail on several weapon and narcotics charges.
