PLYMOUTH, Ind. -- Dustin's Place, a Plymouth-based nonprofit which supports grieving children and families, announced on Friday it was awarded a $10,000 grant to expand services.

The grant was awarded by the Starke County Community Foundation.

Officials with the nonprofit say the new funds will go towards providing school-based grief support groups, responding to crisis calls when a child is impacted by a traumatic loss, and partnering with the Starke County Youth Club to ensure families have access to support close to home.

The nonprofit currently provides peer grief support, crisis response, and school-based programming for children, teens, and families navigating the death of a loved one.
