Annual Easter Egg Hunt brings families together in Elkhart
For Michiana, snow in April isn’t super uncommon, especially in the early parts of the month, seeing as April 6th is when we normally see the last snowfall.
Since 1929, the average day that South Bend has measured snowfall over one-hundredth of an inch was yesterday April 6th.
Last year we saw an earlier end to the snowy season, this year almost a month before average.
Of course this is all measurable snow, we have seen trace amounts since the beginning of March.
Hopefully the system that will be cutting through later this morning won’t be bringing anything measurable, but if it does, it will be right on time.
