Mishawaka police chase man through three cities

Mishawaka, Ind. -- A man in his early 40's lead Mishawaka police on a chase through three Michiana cities tonight.

Several viewers posted on our ABC 57 Facebook page saying that they were nearly run down by the truck as it drove out of control through the residential streets of Mishawaka, South Bend and Elkhart.
The 45 minute chase started on Lawrence and Main Streets in Mishawaka. The pursuit continued through parts of South Bend and Mishawaka before ending in Elkhart.
Mishawaka police caught up to the man on County Road 20 and County Road 3 after stop sticks completely destroyed the right-rear tire of the man's truck.
Police say the pursuit all started when an Mishawaka officer attempted to stop the man for expired plates and possible intoxication.
The man is in custody and has undergone a sobriety test. He faces a felon charge for resisting arrest, along with criminal recklessness and endangerment.
