The South Bend Public Transportation Corporation set to host hiring event

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Public Transportation Corporation (Transpo) is hosting a hiring event on Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. for Bus Cleaners, Mechanics, and Fuelers.

The event will be located at Transpo's Administrative Office at 1401 S. Lafayette Blvd. in South Bend.

Mechanic positions having openings for both first and second shift. Bus Cleaning and Fueling have positions open for second shift.

These positions require a Class B CDL with passenger and airbrake endorsement, but Transpo is offering paid CDL training for qualified candidates so they may obtain their CDL permit.
