Two arrested for misuse of 911 after equipment violation traffic stop
Marshall County Jail MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- After a traffic stop for an equipment violation and following interference from a second driver, two people were arrested for Misuse of Emergency Telecommunications Systems Friday night, Jan. 23, says the Marshall County Sheriff's Department.
Around 9:27 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, a Marshall County deputy stopped 31-year-old Shannon Brown on US 31 near 14th Road for an equipment violation.
According to the sheriff's office, during the stop, a second vehicle, driven by 24-year-old Shaunyae Monique Sowell, "interfered with the investigation."
Both Brown and Sowell were transported to the Marshall County Jail, where Brown was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle without Ever Receiving a License and Misuse of Emergency Telecommunications Systems receiving a $750 bond.
Sowell was charged with Refusal to Identify, Resisting Law Enforcement, and Misuse of Emergency Telecommunications Systems, receiving a $500 bond.
