Woman under arrest on suspicion of deadly overdose

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- On Monday, the Marshall County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a 25-year-old woman for Dealing in a Controlled Substance Resulting in Death after a death investigation in December 2025.

Jaylin Silveus, a 25-year-old woman from Bremen, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 4, for Dealing in a Controlled Substance Resulting in Death as a Level 1 Felony.

On Dec. 18, 2025, around 5:58 a.m., Marshall County Police officers were dispatched to the 14,000 block of 3B Road in Plymouth for reports of an unattended death.

When the officers arrived, they found a 26-year-old by the name of Colten Silveus deceased.

A toxicology report in January showed lethal levels of controlled substances in his blood, and the coroner determined cause of death to be a drug overdose.

After an investigation, Jaylin Silveus was arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail on Wednesday, Feb. 4.

Jaylin Silveus' bond was set at $250,000.
