American veterans treated to tailgating and Notre Dame game.

NOTRE DAME, Ind -- Irish tailgaters were feeding some of America's heroes Saturday afternoon.

Military veterans got a chance to enjoy some fun in the sun before the game Saturday afternoon.

South Bend law firm Sweeney Julian hosted "The Game Day for Heroes" tail gate Saturday afternoon. Wounded and active duty military personnel gathered for some good food, cold drinks, and to watch the Fighting Irish pummel the Air Force Academy.

Tickets for the game were donated and given to veterans and their families.
