Deputy’s encounter with curious owl goes viral

(CNN) -- A pair of Boulder County sheriff's deputies encountered a baby northern saw whet owl just hanging out in a rural road near Boulder.
They stopped to get a look and the baby owl was just as curious as the deputies!
The little bird looks awfully curious as it twists and bobs its head at its new friends.
Both the video and the photos have thousands of views on the sheriff's Facebook page.
One of the top comments has the deputy asking the owl, "Do you know why I stopped you?"
The imagined reply: "I don't give a hoot."
