ELKHART, Ind. - Elkhart County deputies arrested a man in Elkhart over the weekend for allegedly driving a snowmobile while intoxicated.
The man was speeding on a snowmobile near Simonton Lake in Elkhart County when officers spotted him and began a chase.
The snowmobile was traveling at speeds up to 70 miles per hour according to the deputies.
The officers were able to follow the fresh tracks in the snow to find the man and arrest him after he went off-road.
Ryan Hire, age 37, was charged with resisting law enforcement with a vehicle and was taken to the Elkhart County Jail.
