PHM Schools reporting issue with water system

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation was notified Friday that samples from the water system at Madison Elementary exceeded the maximum containment level of arsenic. While not required to use other water sources, temporary water coolers are being installed for drinking.

According to officials, the quality of the drinking water and sample collections are inspected every quarter of the year.

Staff are working with Astbury Water Group to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

The school anticipates the water being back to nominal levels after the holiday break.
