Students help recycle appliances for free

STEVENSVILLE, Mich.-- Lakeshore High School students helped out with some recycling, on Friday.

The Deca Club worked with Boelke Heating, to collect old appliances.

It is the 14th year for the free recycling event.

This year, they asked for donations for The Lakeshore High School Deca Club.

The drive helps people get rid of their appliances safely, and it is good for the environment.

Briana Escoba, a senior at the high school said, "The coolant is harmful to the environment and stuff so they're going to dispose of that."

Over the years, the event has disposed more than 1000 appliances.
