Details on SWAT situation in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The SWAT team responded to a home in the area of Darden Road and Briarcliff Lane Monday afternoon.

Because the location is close to Swanson Traditional School in South Bend.

The school was placed on lockdown while the SWAT situation was happening.

According to the South Bend Police Department, SWAT was there to assist South Bend Police as part of an ongoing investigation relating to harassing phone calls that were reported. 

The SWAT team left the area around 6 p.m.

We are still working to find out more about the situation.
